Snake Escape

Made for the GMTK Game Jam 2023 with the theme "Roles Reversed".

Defeat the snakes!

We all know and love the classic arcade game Snake, but this time, you are no longer at the top of the food chain! Snakes will chase you, and it's your job to dodge their dangerous jaws and defeat them by feeding them enough food that they'll eat their own tails!

Remember! Snakes can only be defeated by eating their own tails!

Controls:

WASD - Movement

Space - Dash / Create apple

Left click (Hold) - Throw banana

Left click - Select menu options

Sound effects made with jsfxr.

(Note: There is an inaccuracy in the web version that causes the snakes to become crooked as they grow. It shouldn't cause any problems in gameplay, but download the windows version to fix this!)
